Filipino-American, hyperpop-adjacent, genre-allergic. Called the Powerpuff Girls of hyperpop alongside Jane Remover and Ninajirachi — Underscores brings her bedroom-built world to Vancouver Pride on July 30th to Celebrities Nightclub A kid alone in a San Francisco bedroom, building something that didn't exist yet. She made fishmonger during the pandemic, opened for 100 gecs months later, and hasn't slowed down since — main stages at Lollapalooza, Electric Forest, and Corona Capital, collabs with Oklou and Yaeji, 42M streams, and a Mom+Pop deal, all while making music that sounds like nothing else in the room.
