Privacy and email controls

EDMber stores the minimum data needed to operate discovery, recommendations, review queues, account features, and compliant email.

Data collected

Listings, submissions, account emails, visitor preferences, event and profile Embers, saves, hides, searches, application packets, digest subscriptions, suppression records, and lead records.

Location safety

Exact sensitive locations are hidden unless organizers approve visibility.

Human review

Public listing changes, external sends, application submissions, and sensitive-location changes require approval.

Account controls

Signed-in users can download a JSON archive and permanently delete account-linked data. Suppression records may be retained to prevent future mail or meet safety and legal requirements.

Open data controls

Email policy

Transactional email uses Resend from the verified EDMber mail domain. Cold outreach remains disabled in the app and must use a separate outreach domain, consent review, suppression handling, and a physical postal address.

Listing action measurement

When someone explicitly opens a listing website, ticket source, calendar download, or direct booking link, EDMber stores the listing, action type, UTC date, and a one-way daily deduplication code. Raw IP addresses, user agents, accounts, emails, referrers, queries, destination URLs, cookies, and sessions are not stored with these actions. Dedupe records are deleted after 400 days. Listing owners receive aggregate counts only; values below five are withheld.

Email suppression

Suppression records are checked before email delivery. Use the signed unsubscribe link in a digest email to stop delivery, or manage digest consent from your signed-in account.
